Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how catalogIQ (“the App”, “we”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when merchants install or use the App within their Shopify store.
Information We Collect
Shop Information
When you install the App, Shopify provides store metadata such as your shop domain, contact email, and access tokens required for secure API communication.
Product & Variant Data
To deliver catalog management features, we process product and variant information, including titles, SKUs, inventory, pricing, metafields, and related metadata.
Operational Logs
The App records activity such as bulk edits, sync jobs, and visibility updates to provide transparency and troubleshooting support.
Webhook Data
Shopify sends updates when products or inventory change. These events allow the App to keep your catalog synchronized.
How We Use Your Information
- Displaying and managing your product catalog
- Executing bulk edits and metafield updates
- Maintaining accurate data through sync jobs
- Supporting visibility automation via Shopify Flow
- Providing activity logs and operational insights
We do not sell or share your data for advertising.
Data Storage & Security
catalogIQ uses AWS services including DynamoDB, Lambda, and KMS encryption. All communication occurs over HTTPS, and access tokens are encrypted at rest.
Data Retention
Data is retained only as long as necessary. Cached catalog data expires automatically. When you uninstall the App, Shopify revokes our access token and we remove stored data within a reasonable timeframe.
Your Rights
You may request data deletion or a summary of stored information by contacting us at support@catalogiq.app.
Changes to This Policy
Updates may occur periodically. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision.
