Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CatalogIQ Shopify App ("the App", "we", "our", or "us"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

Use of the App

CatalogIQ provides tools for managing and updating product catalogs within Shopify. You may use the App only in accordance with Shopify's Terms of Service and applicable laws.

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring the accuracy of changes made through the App
  • Maintaining access to your Shopify store
  • Any actions taken by users with access to your store's admin panel

Shopify Integration

The App requires access to your Shopify store through OAuth authorization. By installing the App, you grant CatalogIQ permission to:

  • Read and modify product and variant data
  • Access metafields and definitions
  • Receive webhook updates
  • Perform bulk operations on your behalf

Access tokens are encrypted and stored securely using AWS KMS.

Billing and Fees

CatalogIQ uses Shopify's billing system. Charges, subscription tiers, and trial periods (if applicable) are displayed during installation.

All billing is handled directly by Shopify. Uninstalling the App stops future charges but does not retroactively refund past charges unless required by Shopify's policies.

Data Handling

Our data practices are described in the CatalogIQ Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and processing of data as outlined there.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for unlawful or harmful activities
  • Attempt to access or modify data belonging to other merchants
  • Reverse engineer or interfere with the App's functionality

Service Availability

CatalogIQ uses a serverless AWS architecture designed for high availability. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service and may perform maintenance or updates as needed.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CatalogIQ is not liable for:

  • Loss of revenue, profits, or data
  • Errors resulting from bulk edits or product changes initiated by the merchant
  • Downtime caused by Shopify, AWS, or third-party services

Your use of the App is at your own risk.

Termination

You may uninstall the App at any time. Upon uninstallation, Shopify revokes our access token and we remove stored shop data within a reasonable timeframe.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
